The 25th Symposium of the Turkish National Geodesy Commission (TUJK) will be held in Ankara on 4–6 November 2026 and hosted by the Department of Geomatics Engineering at Hacettepe University. This scientific tradition, now spanning a quarter of a century, continues in 2026 under the main theme "Next-Generation Geodetic Technologies."

Geodesy is undergoing a fundamental paradigm shift. Long shaped by space- and satellite-based technologies, the discipline is now being redefined by the convergence of quantum sensors, artificial intelligence and machine learning, big data analytics, and next-generation satellite systems. Dynamic Earth monitoring, disaster- and climate-oriented observation systems, early warning applications, autonomous systems, digital twins, and smart cities are steadily increasing demand for real-time, high-accuracy, and reliable positional data.

Within this framework, the geodetic applications of quantum sensors, advanced positioning methods, emerging observation technologies in space geodesy, and the use of deep learning approaches to solve geodetic problems stand out as topics that will shape the future of our field. The symposium aims to establish a strong national platform for knowledge exchange under the auspices of TUJK, and to discuss these innovative approaches comprehensively with the participation of representatives from academia, the public sector, and industry.
